I wanted to share my great expericne with all of you.
A few months ago, a new family moved into our ward with the last name James. Me, being the curious person that I am, had to investigate. I quickly asked him who his grandfather was and then went straight home and called Millie. She then called the oldest living James that she knew and we discovered that indeed this is one of our long lost cousins. His name is Trevor James and his great-grandfather and my great-grandfather are brothers. Their names William through is line and George through our line. What a small world, but we are continuing the search for more info. Interesting right? Now Jonas has a cousin in his nursery class.
What are your thoughts guys?

By the way...I posted this. I wanted to add that this has sparked interest in my family history for me. Did James used to be Jury? This is the rumor.

What a cool experience to locate a distant relative.
I know for a fact that our last name was supposed to be Jury but my memory of the details are hazy. When they were coming into America is when it was switched I think. My mom knows the details.
Greg just visited us and he has really gotten into family history too especially with all the new online church stuff. I am excited about the things he is doing and the fact that he is going to share it with us. yay for the call of elijah!
Now if there was some spiritual call to get more people blogging on here....... ha ha!
That is very exciting news. I have been getting pretty serious about genealogy (in my own mind at least). I can provide copies of what I have to anyone that would like. I would be interested to contact these distant cousins of ours to see if they can provide any additional information into our shared lines.
